Description

We are returning to ChildVision www.childvision.ie, a school for children with visual impairment, for our third mini Albinism Fellowship www.albinism.org.uk conference aimed primarily at our members in Ireland and Northern Ireland but open to all.

This one day event will cover a range of topics relevant to people with albinism and parents of children with albinism and any interested professionals supporting them. The semi-formal programme will include presentations, panel discussions, a small exhibition of equipment & services and opportunities to ask questions.

There will be a creche for young children and some activities for older children/young people but older children are also welcome to join the conference sessions (at parents discretion). There will be refreshment and lunch breaks for socialising and networking and the warm welcome and informal approach will encourage and support the sharing of experiences of albinsim in a positive sociable setting.

For those who wish the day will be followed by an optional group dinner at the nearby Best Western Dublin Skylon Hotel www.dublinskylonhotel.com from 6.00 p.m. for which you MUST book separate tickets below.

The Skylon Hotel are also offering a special room only rate for accommodation if you wish to stay over on the 11th or 12th November. Family rooms (sleeps 3 persons) are €139 per room per night and Double/Twin rooms are €109 per room per night. To book contact the hotel direct and to receive these rates quote ALB2016 and book 30 days in advance of your arrival date. There are also a multiude of other accommodation options in Dublin details of which are available online. Both ChildVision (the conference venue) and the optional hotel are within easy travelling distance of Dublin city centre and the airport.

The day's programme starts at 9.30 a.m. (the first session is at 10.15 a.m.) and finishes by 5.00 p.m. and will be available at www.albinism.org.uk as soon as confirmed. Any further instructions if necessary will be emailed to those who book but not until after the closing date for bookings which is Monday 31st October at 10.00 p.m.

We look forward to welcoming you to 'A Day in Dublin' on Saturday 12th November. If you have any questions in the meantime please email conference@albinism.org.uk
